7th and 8th graders will be performing their speeches in front of a judge and audience at RSM on Thursday afternoon in preparation for the Diocesan Speech Contest at Gehlen Catholic on March 4. Parents are welcome. View the schedule.

In February and March, middle school students have been asked to donate $5 every Friday for 6 weeks in exchange for 6 casual Fridays. The funds will be used towards a field trip, packaging food, at the Then Feed Just One warehouse in Le Mars. Middle school TFJO casual days ends on Friday, March 28, and the field trip is on April 9.

Callie Arens has made it to State for bowling and we will celebrate her achievement on Friday, 2/21, at 2:50 pm in the gym.

The dance camp form was emailed to middle school parents on 2/20.

Golf forms were sent home. Please return by 2/26.

We have reached the $3 million mark towards our overall goal of $10 million for the expansion of the high school and renovation of school facilities. Read more in our campaign section and in the Lumen Media article.

The 34th annual Friends of St. Mary's Ball tickets are on sale now! The ball is on April 5th, at the Avalon, and will include dinner, entertainment, and dancing. It's $75 for a single ticket, $150 for a couple. Find your favorite ticket seller, stop by the business office or use Venmo to purchase tickets.

This form went home on 2/19 and should be returned to the office by 2/28.

Seniors Brady, Keaton, and Lennan are going on a mission trip to Honduras in March to personally deliver some items to the people there. Please consider bringing something from the list of items they're requesting. Or order something from their Amazon wish list! There's a donation box in the hallway by the big stairwell. Deadline is March 1.

As part of Catholic Schools Week, we are having our all-school picnic on Friday, January 31st, starting at 11:30 am in the Paul & Marlene Pick Family Gym. Parents are encouraged to bring lunch (sandwiches, pizza, tacos, casserole, or any meal your family would like) into school and share it with your children. You may also bring younger children, extended family, or other guests.

No school lunch will be available on this day.

A 40-45 minute presentation about our capital campaign for the new school will be shown during the picnic. Tables will be set up so you are able to see the screen. If you can't be there, join us live on Hudl Due to Hudl's restrictions, we can no longer broadcast via YouTube.

The bleachers will also be open, and you may bring a tablecloth, blanket, or pillow to sit on if you'd like. Feel free to visit with neighbors.

After the picnic, students will leave with their parents. No busing this day. If you are unable to attend, please make arrangements with someone to bring lunch for your children and take them home.

Families with children in grades preschool-8th grade, please bring 3 items for the bake sale. Families with students in high school, please bring 24 pieces of cinnamon rolls, coffee cake, danish, muffins, or similar for the breakfast. If you have a child in both categories, you need only to bring the item for the breakfast. Supporting both is awesome but not necessary. you for your support!

Stacey Besch's talk for the 8th-12th grade students was postponed because of Tuesday's late start due to extreme windchills. It has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 4th, 9:30 - 11:30 am, in the Paul & Marlene Pick Gym. This event is open to the public.

Don't miss this annual breakfast in the RSM cafeteria on Sunday, Jan 26, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm, featuring food made our by parents! Menu includes: egg bake, scrambled eggs, cheesy potatoes, sausage, ham, mixed fruit, assorted rolls, coffee, milk, and juice. There will be a bake sale happening, as well, with cakes, cookies, pies, and more. Prices for the breakfast are as follows:

We have some fun events planned for Catholic Schools Week, Jan. 25 - 31, including some games, a sock hop, and a school picnic! Check the schedule to see what's going on.

There will be a meal served, 4:30 to 7:30 pm, Jan. 31, at Gehlen Catholic's cafeteria, during the RSM vs. Gehlen basketball game in Le Mars. The menu will include chili, ham sandwiches, chicken noodle soup, and dessert. All proceeds go to supplies for the mission trip to Honduras.

Attention: 6th graders-high school students. To purchase a baseball cap, return the order form to the office by Thursday, Jan. 30.

To all fans planning on going to the girls and boys basketball games at Western Christian tonight, tickets must be purchased online. Western is cashless at the gate. Tickets are $8 each. The games can also be watched on their Hudl livestream.

Please note time change: The games start at 5:00 pm with varsity girls, followed by varsity boys. The JV boys game has been canceled.
